Parishes, Schools & Nonprofits
“Many Catholic leaders find it challenging to give 100% in ministry when they are worried about mission critical funds. At the Catholic Foundation, we desire to reduce that burden by connecting faithful servants with generous Catholics.”
— Angela Moloney, President and CEO, Catholic Foundation of Michigan
Endowments are essential to an organization’s financial viability. An endowment is a permanent fund invested for the benefit of a particular purpose. A parish, school, or nonprofit organization can establish a permanent endowment to benefit their entity with a gift of cash, securities or complex assets.
Benefits of Partnering with the Catholic Foundation
A resource and partner for faithful organizations large and small, the Catholic Foundation is here to help you further your mission today and sustain your faith-filled work for years to come.
DONOR GIVING SERVICES: An extension of your office
We partner with you to help donors who are interested in giving to your organization through using more complex gifts such as real estate and insurance policies. We also work with those with donor advised funds that coordinate one’s charitable giving. The donors make recommendations as to the parishes, schools and organizations they want to support, and the Catholic Foundation handles the administrative and legal requirements on their behalf. Managing investments professionally through the Catholic Foundation provides simplicity and seamlessness for your donors.
ADMINISTRATION OF FUND: Let us serve you
- If your endowment fund is not currently managed by the Catholic Foundation, please contact us to discuss how we can serve you and your organization (including non-profit organizations and archdiocesan ministries), both now and in the future.
- If you know of a donor who wants to open a fund in support of your organization, please contact us and we will help you to facilitate the gift.
EDUCATION: Coaching your team
There are a number of ways we can help educate your teams.
As a Catholic community foundation, we provide annual training opportunities for our fund partners, staff and leadership.
WORKSHOPS: Cultivating your community
- The Foundation assists partner organizations in making presentations to parishioners, donors or other leaders. Examples include board of directors, development committee, finance board, stewardship committee, parish council, school parent association, Knights of Columbus, women’s circle, men’s club, and senior groups.
- Together, we will identify a workshop to meet your community’s needs.

Integrity of values

Peace of mind
Funds created by the Catholic Foundation of Michigan provide asset protection from potential liabilities. They ensure the specified growth and lasting legacy of our Catholic communities.
While past performance is no guarantee of future results, we are faith-consistent investors with Catholic values and a long track record of superior financial performance. We’ll help you grow your financial stability and maximize the impact of donations entrusted to your organization.
