• Catholic Foundation to build on its strong position with more than $88M in donations raised
• More than 300 charitable funds have been created since 2017
• Annual gala generated $550,000 for Catholic education and youth

DETROIT (November 13, 2025) — Angela Moloney, President and CEO of the Catholic Foundation of Michigan, is being celebrated for guiding the organization to exceptional growth. She will bring that dedication to Gleaners Community Food Bank in Southeast Michigan, beginning in January 2026.

Catholic Foundation Board Chair Chris Allen said, “Angela’s new role is both wonderful news for Gleaners and for our community. She leaves the Foundation in a strong and thriving position. Angela has our full support and confidence as she begins this next chapter. Her new role will bless Southeast Michigan, as she leads Gleaners in the Corporal Works of Mercy, especially in feeding the hungry.”

Under Moloney’s leadership at the Catholic Foundation, the organization achieved remarkable results:

• Raised more than $88 million in charitable donations since its inception, including $550,000 at the recent Igniting Our Future Gala on October 16.
• Invested $67 million in assets through the creation of 300+ charitable funds that will support the community in perpetuity.
• Distributed more than $34 million in grants, advancing Catholic education, faith-based initiatives, and community programs across Michigan.

These outcomes reflect Moloney’s strategic acumen, fundraising strength, and ability to build sustainable philanthropic infrastructure. Her mission-driven, collaborative style has empowered donors, leaders, and nonprofits alike to expand their impact.

Moloney said, “I leave the Foundation humbled and grateful for what we have achieved through our community’s faith and generosity, ensuring that Catholic ministries across Michigan will thrive for generations. I am energized by the opportunity to lead Gleaners into its next chapter — to deepen partnerships, diversify revenue, and ensure that every neighbor in this region has access to nutritious food with dignity.”

The Foundation is guided by a Board of 32 Catholic lay leaders, which is engaged in an executive search to identify its next faith-filled CEO.
