Rejoice with us! In just over one year, the Catholic Foundation of Michigan has awarded over one million dollars to local parishes, schools, and ministries that are serving our Catholic community and those in need.These mission-critical funds allow parishes and ministry staff to focus on what really matters:  Christ-centered service to others.Launched in 2017, the Catholic Foundation of Michigan connects generous donors with impactful ministries and serves at the center of Catholic philanthropy.

“It is more blessed to give than receive” (Acts 20:35) is the resounding sentiment from the Catholic Foundation of Michigan.

“It is inspirational to see the mission and values of the Church fulfilled with grants from the Catholic Foundation through the generosity of our donors,” shared board chair Patrick Fehring.

Joy, peace of mind, and personalized treatment are some of the blessings that donors receive from giving through the Catholic Foundation.

When asked about his desire to give through the Catholic Foundation, board member Gene LoVasco shares, “I have been blessed and feel an obligation to pay it forward.”

Catholic Foundation donors have the confidence of knowing that their money will be invested in a socially responsible manner, according to Catholic teaching, with a focus on return on investment, fiscally sound investment strategies, and accountability. These returns can be joyfully shared with the causes that donors care about most.

“The gifts that God gives us are overflowing, poured out richly in our lives. When we truly understand this, we cannot help but respond in generosity. The Catholic community of Southeastern Michigan has responded in generosity to the creation of the Catholic Foundation of Michigan and to sharing their gifts, especially to those in need. This is only the beginning of the abundant grace that will come from this impactful stewardship,” board member Marisa Petrella remarks in light of this granting milestone.
